Contained in the US hostage release deal is a plan for the temporary cessation of military operations by both parties, with Israeli forces withdrawing from densely populated areas in Gaza.

According to the most recent negotiations, the release of hostages will be approached via a number of steps. In the initial phase, the release of women and children hostages will be followed by the release of all living hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.

In regard to Humanitarian Aid, a significant increase in humanitarian assistance is included in the deal. Today, as hundreds of trucks carrying aid into Gaza, the daily supply of humanitarian aid provided in the way of foods and other essentials will be unimpeded as they finally reach the hostages and those suffering as victims of war.

Other factors contained in the deal is the plan for the reconstruction of war torn areas within the region. Plans for the reconstruction of Gaza and the return of internally displaced persons to their homes is added to the negotiations.

The deal discussed by US President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris was quite conclusive and included comments by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan.

Most importantly, Monday’s deal discussion aims at establishing a sustainable calm and a permanent ceasefire, while addressing humanitarian needs and facilitating the movement of people and goods.

As pre-ceasefire fighting continues, there are ongoing diplomatic efforts involving Qatar, Egypt, and the U.S. to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas.
