POLITICS: Today, the U.S. federal government has announced its most recent reaction to the more recent efforts made by Russia to control the U.S. election. On Wednesday, the Biden administration imposed sanctions on Russia in response to efforts by the Moscow government to influence U.S. elections.

According to the report made by the White House, the sanctions target Russian propagandists, hackers, and media networks like RT. Actions taken by the US is part of a broader strategy to counteract foreign interference and protect the integrity of the electoral process
Today, as the U.S. imposes several new sanctions on Russia it is in response to Russia’s attempts at manipulating U.S. public opinion ahead of the upcoming election.
The US Treasury Department has moved forward with imposing sanctions that include targeting Russian propagandists, hackers, and media networks like RT.
In addition to sanctions imposed by U.S. Treasury, the U.S. Department of Justice has announced criminal charges related to Russian disinformation efforts.
The Biden administration has, also, seized a number of internet domains Internet Domains: used for spreading disinformation.
The measures taken by US President Biden and a number of associated departments are part of a broader strategy to counteract foreign interference and protect the integrity of the electoral process.
