Recently, Ukraine successfully thwarted Russian attempts to advance towards the city of Kupiansk, a significant municipal artery1.
The city of Kupiansk, located in the Kharkiv region, has been a focal point due to its strategic importance. Russian forces had initially seized Kupiansk early in the war but lost control of it about a year ago.
Ukraine’s defense efforts have been part of a broader counteroffensive aimed at reclaiming territory and disrupting Russian supply lines.
