Recently, federal investigators seized phones from several officials in his administration1. Additionally, the FBI conducted searches at the homes of the city’s police commissioner and three top deputies close to Adams.
These investigations have raised questions about his ability to govern effectively. Public opinion reflects this concern, with a recent poll showing that only 29% of New York City adults believe Adams is doing an “excellent” or “good” job as mayor.
Despite these challenges, there have been some positive outcomes during his tenure. For instance, student proficiency in math and English Language Arts has improved under his administration.
