Hurricane Francine will produce inclement weather conditions in South Texas, including areas like Corpus Christi, may experience heavy rainfall as bands from the storm reach the region. These weather conditions could lead to localized flooding, especially in low-lying areas.

Tropical storm-force winds are possible, particularly along the coastal areas. Strong winds can cause damage to structures, power outages, and downed trees.

Minor coastal flooding has already been recorded in some areas1. As the storm progresses, there could be more significant coastal flooding, especially during high tide.

While the most severe storm surge is expected further east, some surge effects could still be felt along the South Texas coast.

Residents located in the line of the storm’s path will be notified to stay updated with local weather advisories and take necessary precautions.
