Strikes were launched in the Muwasi area, a coastal region in southern Gaza, which has been a refuge for many Palestinians displaced by the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
Following the strikes, the Israeli military stated that the strike targeted senior Hamas militants operating within a command-and-control center in the camp4. However, Hamas has denied having fighters in the area.
The United Nations has condemned the strike, calling it "unconscionable". The events involved in the incident point out the ongoing severity involving the lack of humanitarian aid that has failed to reach civilian victims of the conflict.
