STATE & NATIONAL: Today, reports are made involving certain sordid allegation surrounding Julie Su, the acting U.S. Secretary of Labor. According to the most recent reports, Su has faced scrutiny over her handling of unemployment benefits during her tenure as California’s Labor Secretary.

For the most part, Su has been faced with heavy scrutiny involving u employment fraud. During her time as California’s Labor Secretary, the state reportedly lost up to $31 billion to fraudulent unemployment claims. While the substantial state losses have raised concerns about her management capabilities, the impression that looms over head is that there has, also, been significant oversight in regard to Su’s response to claims.
The House Ways and Means Committee has expanded its investigation into claims that Su used her position to obscure the loss of billions of dollars in federal loans to California. These are among the activities that have added to the controversy surrounding her potential promotion to a permanent federal role.
Internal Communications: Internal documents have revealed that Su was involved in addressing issues related to fraudulent use of Social Security Numbers for unemployment claims. Allegations surrounding Su’s actions are, now, the substance of further highlights in regard to claims of mismanagement during her tenure.
These issues have complicated her nomination and raised questions about her suitability for a key labor post at the federal level.
