US & GLOBAL: Today, the UN reports the the tragic event that killed several UN staff members. The report indicates that the death toll mounted up during a recent airstrike on a UN-run school in Gaza killing 6 UN staff members were killed.

Involving the strike that killed half dozen UN staff members, it was stated that Israel targeted the Al-Jaouni School in the Nuseirat refugee camp, which was sheltering displaced Palestinians.
Following the strike, Israel defense officials provided information surrounding the strike stating the actions taken by the Israeli military were committed with the understanding that the school was being used as a command center by Hamas.
Israel’s most recent strike in Gaza marks the highest death toll among UN staff in a single event since the conflict began.
Today, the UN announced its reaction to the strikes on the UN-run school, condemning the attack while referring to it as a violation of international humanitarian law.
