STATE & NATIONAL: On Tuesday, a Florida federal court made no adjustments in the decision to convict Ghislaine Maxwell involving her role in a child sex trafficking case. The recent decision in Maxwell’s case involved the rejection of her appeal by a three-judge panel from the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.

In a recent report involving the Ghislaine Maxwell the convicted groomer and recruiter for porn trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein, attorneys for the defendant had challenged the ruling, arguing that her conviction should not have been prosecuted due to a 2007 non-prosecution agreement between Epstein and federal prosecutors.
The appeals court found no error in the original conviction and upheld Maxwell’s 20-year prison sentence.
Maxwell’s defense also claimed that the jury was compromised and that her sentence was excessive, but these arguments were dismissed.
Ghislaine Maxwell is the 62 year old former associate of millionaire and child sex trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein. In 2019. Epstein was convicted on charges associated with his involvement in trafficking under age girls for other wealthy associates. It was in 2008 that Epstein had been convicted on a charge of prostitution solicitation of minor girls. The subsequent licentious actions conducted by the, then, 66 year old Svengali resulted in his extensive prison sentence
The 2019 sentence rendered Epstein confined to prison for 45 had been vehemently opposing by Epstein according to reports that emerged from. the () prison. Epstein, however, ultimately committed suicide intercepting his 45 year incarceration on August 20, 2019.
Following the most recent decision by the Florida federal court, it is unless any further rulings are entered into appeal, Ghislaine Maxwell, who began serving her 20 year prison sentence in June, 2022, will remain incarcerated in a Florida federal prison.
