Today, the stance taken by the NATO chief is seen as a strong signal of continued support for Ukraine’s defense capabilities. Regarding the defense of Ukraine’s nuclear infrastructure.
Stoltenberg made no specific mention of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) or other international bodies taking a direct role in defending these facilities.
While the US has, however, indicated that Ukraine’s nuclear infrastructure will be protected by U.S. forces, NATO and its allies are expected to continue providing extensive support to Ukraine, which includes various forms of military aid and strategic assistance.
The protection of critical infrastructure, including nuclear sites, is likely a part of these broader defense efforts.
