By Anne M Erbynstein

Through Saturday, dangerous weather conditions linger over the Midwest and Great Lakes causing the effects of a blizzard with high winds tgst carry freezing rains.

The states of Colorado and New York will experience heavy snowfall --the result of extremely low temperatures blowing across the northeast by way of an Arctic front.

The Arctic front is expected to impose freezing over an 1800 mile range. From Denver to Iowa, Chicago, Ohio and further to New York and Washington.
