US FBI Stops Plot By Iran To Pass Off Trump Campaign Information

NATION; On Thursday, a report was made involving attempts by Iran to pass off hacked information to the Biden administration. The data had been hacked from the Trump campaign and was, however, intercepted by the FBI.

Today, the FBI and other U.S. intelligence agencies revealed that Iranian hackers breached former President Trump’s campaign and obtained sensitive information.

According to the report, the information was then sent to individuals associated with President Biden’s campaign in June and July 2024.

Emails included in the data contained excerpts from non-public material from Trump’s campaign. The Iranian hackers have continued their efforts to leak this stolen material various media organizations.

In sum, the incident is part of a broader pattern of election meddling by Iran, aiming to sow discord and influence the outcome of the U.S. elections.
