USDA Reports Foreign Matter In One Company’s Ground Beef


STATE & NATIONAL: On Sunday, the USDA, exposes the possible contamination of the Skyline Providiona, Inc company's product. SPI's raw ground beef has been recalled by the company for further inspection.

The report made by the USDA provides information of the recall of the Skyline Provisions Inc recall of 5600 pounds of tge company's raw ground beef product. The SPI ground beef product is recalled for the inspection of tge possible contamination by a foreign specimen contained in the product.


Skyline provisions zinc will begin recalling the ground beef product on November 19. Products being recalled are:


1). 20-lb. carton boxes containing four packages of “SKYLINE PROVISIONS, INC. GROUND BEEF 81/19” with “ITEM # 000248” printed on the label.


2). 20-lb. carton boxes containing four packages of “SKYLINE PROVISIONS, INC. GROUND BEEF 75/25” with “ITEM # 000293” printed on the label.


Produced on August 19, 2023, tge items were shipped to Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin baring tge USDA stamp Est. 93000.


Following the report of finding tge contaminated ground beef's foreign substance, USDA's Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS ) announced tgst there were no reports made of an illness associated with the ground beef's contamination-- no report of any illnesses associated with the product's consumption.


Institutions and consumers are instructed to return tge Skyline Provisionsl Inc raw ground beef product to the place of purchase or discard the product's unused portions.
